Press object into warm wax

Start with a warm, primed or re-fused encaustic surface and gently lay your first natural element into position. Here I’ve started with a coat of King’s Blue wax paint and set a leaf skeleton gently into the surface.

Coat and fuse

Brush a layer of clear medium over the top of the object and re-fuse.
